Trylla
“Bunny” - for Trylla. Alice’s extensive collection of dolls and trolls were the inspiration for this piece. With Alice’s nickname Bunny as the starting point, I lent into the creepy and playful aesthetics of those old retro characters.
Process
Keeping with the vibrant aesthetic of the shop I’ve painted the vase by layering motifs loosely based off of Greek vase pattern. Also would’ve been a insult not to have this sculpture as a kiln fired piece, with it’s representing a pottery workshop, so I constructed it with a marine plywood sub-structure encased in polymer clay, and had it fired
