I often try to incorporate create technical illusions within my practice. The installation systems of public sculpture can often detract from the aesthetic of a piece, and frame the artwork poorly by catching the eye more than the piece itself. So, in this case I decided to embed the sculpture into a “keyhole” substructure that was both sculptural, but also doubled as a discreet fixing point to the wall.
